قصة سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب مع مسكينة فقيرة تتألم من الولادة-فى احدى الليالى التى كان يدور فيها سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب حول المدينة ليتفقد فيها أحوال الرعية . فوجد خيمة لم يراها من قبل فأقبل عليها متسائلاً ما خبرها . فسمع انين يصدر من الخيمة فازداد همة . فنادى سيدنا عمر فخرج منها رجل فقال للرجل من انت ؟ فقال : انا رجل من احدى القرى وقد أصابتنا الحاجة فجئت انا وأهلى لنطلب رفد عمر وقد علمنا ان عمر يرفد ويراعى الرعية فقال سيدنا عمر ما هذا الأنين ؟ فقال له هذه زوحتى تتوجع من الام الولادة فقال له وهل عندكم من يتولى رعاية زوجتك وتوليدها ؟ قال الرجل لا انا وهى فقط فقال عمر وهل عندك نفقة لإطعامها ؟ قال الرجل لا فقال له سيدنا عمر انتظر انا سأتى لك بالنفقة ومن يقوم بتوليدها وذهب سيدنا عمر لبيته وكانت فية السيدة ام كلثوم بنت سيدنا على بن ابى طالب زوجتة ونادى عليها يا ابنة الأكرمين هل لك فى خير ساقة الله لك ؟ فقالت له وما ذاك ؟ قال هناك مسكينة فقيرة تتألم من الولادة فى طريق المدينة فقالت له هل تريد ان أتولى ذلك بنفسى ؟ فقال لها قومى يا ابنة الأكرمين واعدى ما تحتاجة المرأة فى الولادة وقام هو ليأخد طعام ولوازم الطبخ وحملة على رأسة وذهبا حتى وصلا الى الخيمة ثم دخلت ام كلثوم لتتولى عملية الولادة وجلس الفاروق عمر بن الخطاب مع الرجل خارج الخيمة ليقوم بإعداد الطعام لهم . فنادت السيدة ام كلثوم من الخيمة على امير المؤمنين وقالت له اخبر الرجل ان الله اكرمه بولد وان زوجته بخير وعندما سمع الرجل منها وهى تنادى يا ( امير المؤمنين ) تراجع مندهشاً الى الخلف فلم يكن يعلم ان هذا هو سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب . فضحك سيدنا عمر وقال له اقرب اقرب نعم انا عمر بن الخطاب والتى معى هى زوجتى ام كلثوم ابنة على بن ابى طالب فخرج يبكى الرجل وهو يقول أل بيت النبوة يولدون زوجتى ؟ وامير المؤمنين عمر بن الخطاب يطبخ لى ولزوجتى؟ فقال سيدنا عمر خذ هذا وسأتيك بالنفقة مابقيت عندنا. هذا هو المنهاج الذى اخذوة من سيدنا محمد صل الله علية وسلم فكان سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب يقيم العدل والحق فى الأرض ويحاسب نفسه قبل ان يحاسبة الله يوم القيامة.
